Smt. Shila Unnithan serves as Chief, Social Services Division, Kerala State Planning Board since 28.04.2006.  Smt. Shila Unnithan also holds the charge of  Vigilance Officer in the State Planning Board. Prior to joining to State Planning Board she was holding the position of Joint Director in the Social Welfare Department of  Government of Kerala.   She has also served as District Probation Officer under Government of Kerala.  She is an alumnus of the Department of Economics, Karyavattom, University of Kerala  and she holds an  MA and M.Phil in Economics from Kerala University.She is the convenor of various plan committees and Member of Kannur University planning Board. She is also a member in various committees &governing bodies such as the High Power Committee of ISSP (GoI) chaired by Chief Secretary, State Level Co-ordination Committee for ICDS monitoring chaired by Chief Secretary, etc.
