(IIITM-K)
5.182 The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala is a premier
institution of excellence in Science, Technology and Management related to Information that develops
professionals and leaders of high calibre imbued with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social
responsibility. IIITM-K actively promotes higher education and industry across Kerala and beyond
through its IT facilitated education programs and services.

5.183 The major projects completed are biometric embedded system security and internet of
embedded things, software engineering and software project management unit and library and
information service
Technopark
5.184 Techno Park has been growing steadily both in size and employee strength. The park is now
home to 336 companies, employing more than 45000 IT/ITeS professionals. With the commissioning
of Technopark Phase III, Techno Park became the largest IT Park in India.
5.185 Total investment upto March 2014 is `4500 crores, total turnover upto March 2014 is ` 4200
crore and the total export upto March 2014 is `4200 crore. Details of physical achievements of
Technopark are given in Appendix 5.59
Infopark
5.186 Infopark is a Society with a target of creating 1 lakh IT jobs by 2020, by providing cost effective
and energy efficient layouts for small, medium and large IT companies to set up their operations in
the green, eco-friendly campus.
5.187 Infopark in the year 2013-14 registered software export revenue of `2350 crore, which is an
increase of `816 crore showing a 53% growth over previous year. Apart Infopark at Kochi, Infopark
has two more Parks at Cherthala and Thrissur, through a hub and spoke developmental plan. Through
the 250 companies functioning from all the parks together, total employment strength has grown to
24000, which is an additional 2500 employment. Total investment as on March 2014 is `1300crore
and the turnover upto March 2014 is`2350crore.
