Sri Rajaiah Sricilla, Chairman of the second Telangana State Finance Commission, along with other commission members, visited the Kerala State Planning Board to gain insights into its operations and the functioning of local self-government institutions in the state.
The Vice Chairperson of the State Planning Board provided an overview of the Board's critical role in budget formulation. The discussion highlighted the decentralized planning process in Kerala, emphasizing the importance of the District Planning Office in facilitating local governance. The meeting also discussed the activities of the State Resource Group, which is focused on improving local governance.
Members of the Telangana Finance Commission expressed their admiration for the effectiveness of Kerala's local governments, commending the performance of both the State Planning Board and the Kerala State Finance Commission.
The delegation included Sri Sankepally Sudheer Reddy, Sri Nehru Naik Malothu, and Sri Malkud Ramesh, who actively participated in the discussions.
