To assess the water quality in the Kuttanad region, a team headed by Dr. T. Pradeep, Professor, IIT, Chennai visited Kuttanad from 25th May to 27th May 2022.  The objective of the visit was to analyse the prevailing situation of water quality in the region and to suggest improved technology based solutions.  Sri . E. Nandakumar, CEO, ICCW, Sri  Ashok Natarajan, Member, Advisory Board of ICCW, Sri . C. Sripati, Expert Engineer, ICCW and Sri. Udhaya Sankar, Director, Hydromaterials Pvt Ltd were also in the team. The State Planning Board was represented by a team of officials led by Sri. S. S. Nagesh, Chief of Agriculture Division. The team visited the existing water treatment plant at Neerettupuram and discussed with the officials of Kerala Water Authority on the upcoming KIIFB assisted treatment plant. To get the field level information, discussions were also held with the elected representatives of Thalavady Grama Panchayath and with the Department of Community Medicine, Alappuzha Medical College.
