Perspective Planning Division

Dr Santhosh Vidhyadharan is the Chief of Perspective Planning Division since January 30, 2009. Prior to joining the Board, he served as Senior Research Officer in the Ministry of Urban Development, New Delhi from 2001to 2009. He had also served as Scientist B and Senior Scientific Assistant in Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, Palode, Thiruvananthapuram from 1993 to2001. He holds a PhD in Economics from Gujarat University and Master’s Degree in Economics from Kerala University and also holdsMBA degree in Operations Management.During his career, he has acquired wide ranging experience cutting across social and economic sectors, including planning, urban database management, environmental and urban issues. He has published 16 Papers on various topics such as Economics of Biodiversity, Water Management, Perspective Planning, Tourism, Gender Budgetingand Urban Development. He has participated in many national and international Training programmes/Workshops/Seminars which includes conferences at Australia, Singapore, Canada, and Estonia.
